Getting Ready to Monitor Databases

In the morning i has some proactive task notes that reminded me about the Monitoring Activity of one of our biggest client.

As a beginner , it was difficult for me to know the purpose of this monitoring but i sorted it out as follows

• Finding long running queries with their execution times
• Comparing these stats with older stats will tell be about the performance status of our client.

I searched google again and again then i got that OEM is best tool for monitoring.
